How can I volunteer at the library?

Answer

How can I volunteer at the library?
We love our volunteers and cannot imagine running the library without them!

We rely on adult volunteers to get items back on the shelves; however, other duties may arise depending on the time of year and workload. All volunteers are trained by a staff member, and we do not accept court-ordered community service. All volunteers must fill out an application, and a background check is also required. Applications are posted on the volunteer page when we need volunteers.

Please contact Cheryl with any additional questions.

Teens ages 13-17 may also volunteer. Teen applications are different from the adult applications. They are posted on the Teen Page in throughout the year. Unfortunately, because of the training time needed in order to volunteer, we do not have the ability to offer one-day or short-term volunteer opportunities. All selected teen volunteers attend an orientation and training session provided by a staff member.

Please note that teen volunteer slots are limited and not guaranteed. We typically receive at least twice as many applications as we have spots available, so answering the short essay questions on the application thoughtfully is incredibly important.

Please contact Debbie or Kelsey with any additional questions.
